Translanguaging: Recognising, valuing and celebrating Aboriginal students’ language backgrounds in teaching and learning

Translanguaging is currently one of the hottest in Applied Linguistics around the world, and arguably a key issue in developing meaningful, respectful and effective improvements in cross-cultural classrooms. But what is it? How do researchers understand it? What does it look like in the classroom? But most importantly, how can it help improve Aboriginal students’ classroom experiences?

Curtin University is offering a 2 day conference, designed for teachers and academics alike, in the classroom and in research. Friday 18 and Saturday 19 May 2018.
