AFMLTA 2015 Conference: Early Bird Registration Extended!

Australia’s major languages education conference, AFMLTA2015, will be held in Melbourne from July 9-12 this year. This year’s conference, the 20th biennial conference of the AFMLTA, promises to be an exciting event with presenters coming from all over the country and abroad. Guest speakers include Professor Emerita Diane Larsen-Freeman, a key international figure in language acquisition research; Professor Stephen Dinham, leading Australian educationalist; Dr Jane Orton, recently director of the University of Melbourne’s Chinese Teacher Training Centre and a well-known protagonist in languages education in Australia. Professors Joe Lo Bianco and John Hajek also feature on the program. The Welcome Reception will be hosted at Melbourne’s Immigration Museum while the conference dinner will take place on the 89th floor of Melbourne’s iconic Eureka Tower with conference dinner guest speaker and well-loved celebrity chef, Stefano de Pieri, in attendance. There will be ample opportunities to meet colleagues and be inspired by diverse examples of research and practice while taking in the ambience of Australia’s cultural capital.
