Languages in Our Landscape competition winners

At the MLTAWA Languages Week Event on Wednesday, 7 August 2019 the finalists and winners of the Languages in Our Landscape competition were announced. It was great to see that many students entered both the Aboriginal Language Category and the General Languages category for their age group.

It was wonderful to see how the students noticed not only the use of language around them but also that language and culture changes and that there is power in language. Their comments demonstrated cultural understandings, empathy and curiosity.
