In 2020, the MLTAWA Competitions reflect the social distancing requirements due to Covid-19. While working at home or at school, students can participate in Let Me Tell You a Story, Let Me Tell You in My Language, Family by My Side and Love Learning Languages.

Please note that there are some changes to the Terms and Conditions and eligibility requirements for 2020.
Produce a bilingual text e-Book. Open to WA school aged students who are bilingual or have a background in a language in addition to English. Community language teachers, Aboriginal language teachers and EALD/ESL teachers can encourage their students to take part in this competition or incorporate into their teaching and learning programs in 2020.
Conduct a conversation in the target language with one or more family members and record it on video. Open to second language learners from P-12 in WA mainstream school programs. Language teachers can incorporate this task into their teaching and learning programs and make one school submission per family and language category.
Produce an A4 poster which describes why students love learning languages at their school. Open to all individual students. The poster must include the title − Love Learning Languages, a short description in English and artwork and illustrations.
