A message from the MLTAWA President

|
Dear MLTAWA Members, As we finish the season of Djiran without our much needed rain, I am delighted to welcome you to the latest edition of the MLTAWA newsletter. It’s a busy time of year for all of us, filled with the flurry of writing reports and wrapping up various projects. Amidst this hustle, I want to highlight a few important opportunities and events that you won't want to miss.
First and foremost, don't forget to register for our upcoming conference. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow language teaching professionals, share your insights, and gain fresh perspectives that can enhance your teaching practices.
If you have innovative ideas or unique experiences to share, I encourage you to submit your abstracts. Your contributions are what make our conference rich and diverse, fostering a vibrant community of learning and growth.
Additionally, we are proud to continue the legacy of Nathan Harvey through our scholarship program and also the wonderful opportunity provided by AFMLTA. This is an excellent chance for members to receive support for their professional development. Please consider applying or encouraging a colleague to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. You can also make a small contribution to the AFMLTA's scholarship fund.
Lastly, let’s take a moment to recognise the outstanding leadership within our schools. Nominations are now open for this year's Principal's Award. If you know a principal who has demonstrated exceptional support for Languages Education, please nominate them. Their efforts deserve to be celebrated.
Thank you for your dedication and hard work. Together, we are making a significant impact on the landscape of Languages Education in Western Australia. I look forward to reading your abstracts and seeing you at the conference. Warm regards,
Colleen Barclay
