Dear subscriber,

I am pleased to formally welcome Dr. Hua Li as MLTAWA Treasurer for 2022. Dr. Hua Li’s nomination received 60 positive votes which means that we have a sufficient quorum to endorse this nomination. Thank you to all members who participated in this process.

As we get ready to take a little break and enjoy the Holiday Season, I would like to share some of the work we have been busy with since the AGM on the 20th November. These are some of the things we have been working on:

  • A reorganisation and restructure of our files, folders and procedures;
  • All handover processes have been completed, with just a couple of training sessions still pending;
  • We have begun working on the MLTAWA 2022 Conference and we will be releasing initial details soon;
  • We have begun working on a schedule of events for 2022, which will also be released very soon;
  • Close collaboration with Single Language Association Presidents;
  • We have started to discuss some exciting ideas for the MLTAWA to increase our online presence and collaboration with National and International associations;
  • We have begun to plan towards ensuring all our MLTAWA members have access to upskilling opportunities in the Digital Technologies space.
Now it is time for the Committee to take a little break. We will be offline until January 5th and you can contact us again via email any time after that.

In the meantime, and on behalf of the MLTAWA Committee, I would like to wish all our members a wonderful Holiday Season.

With my warmest regards,

Marisa Schiavi
President MLTAWA
