This professional learning event explores 25 no-preparation-needed activities teachers use every day to motivate and engage all students. This workshop also includes how to adapt and exploit authentic teaching resources in English, Humanities and Social Sciences, Languages, Arts and other curriculum areas.
This practical, hands-on workshop showcases 25 communicative activities that can be created and used on the spot, without any prior preparation. Activities are designed to be used in both primary and secondary schools across all curriculum areas, and cater for different student abilities, whole classes, small groups and individuals.
In this workshop, teachers and education assistants will explore new ideas for innovative speaking and listening activities: including those which can be used as activities for ‘Warmers’, ‘Setting up’, ‘Review’, ‘Think Quick’ and ‘Fluency’ . Participants will experience as many of the hands-on activities as the two-hour session enables. The remainder of activities will be explained and how they can be adapted, before the session is concluded.
The strategies from this professional learning event can be used in your classroom or context tomorrow!
