Two Teacher Development School events are being offered to Languages teachers:
TDS Languages K-12 Literacy in the context of WA Curriculum: Languages (15 June 2017)
Through the WA Curriculum: Languages, learners of all languages are afforded opportunities for overall literacy development; strengthening literacy-related capabilities that are transferable across the language being learnt, their first language and English.
This workshop highlights the role the Languages learning area plays in supporting students’ literacy skills. Resources to support the teaching and learning of language literacy will also be introduced.

Language learning is enhanced through the use of information and communication technology; accessing live language environments and texts via digital media contributes to the development of information technology capabilities as well as linguistic and cultural knowledge.
This workshop highlights the role the Languages learning area plays in supporting students’ ICT skills. Strategies to support the teaching and learning of languages through ICT will be introduced.
