Nearly 20,000 students nationwide, aged four to 18 years, entered the inaugural SBS National Languages Competition 2016. The hugely successful competition is back and it’s going to bigger and better this year.
The SBS National Languages Competition 2017 is an exciting initiative to encourage and celebrate a love of learning languages in Australia. It’s a nationwide competition to engage school children and reflect on the cultural, linguistic and ethnic diversity of Australia’s multicultural society.
We’re calling out to all students aged four to 18 years across Australia who are learning a language other than English.
To enter, students need to upload a video (maximum 30 seconds long) describing ‘What learning a language means to you?’ Remember, the video is to be in any language other than English and the more creative the better!
Visit SBS Radio’s National Languages Competition website for more information on how to enter and to access resources.
Entries have now closed. Check out the winners for 2017 here.
