Side-by-Side

Conduct a conversation in the target language with another student and record it on video. Open to second language learners from P-12 in WA mainstream Languages Programs. Languages teachers can incorporate this task into their teaching and learning programs and make one school submission per year group and language category.

Speaking My Language

Students record a video of themselves speaking from a scripted speech which is provided by the LTWA. Students are to fill in the blanks in the script. Open to Language learners from Years 4-6 in 2025. This competition can be completed by students who are second language learners or background speakers with modifications. Each school may submit three entrants per division at school.
