The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) is offering online briefings to support schools with their familiarisation with the Western Australian curriculum for Pre-primary to Year 10 Languages and The Arts.

The revised curriculum for Pre-primary to Year 10 (P–10) Languages and The Arts is available for familiarisation in 2026. Schools are required to teach the revised year level curriculum for Languages and The Arts in 2027.

The purpose of these briefings is to:

• familiarise schools with the support materials on the Authority website
• outline key curriculum changes
• provide guidance to enable your school to become familiar with the revised curriculum
• provide teaching and learning support.

The Western Australian curriculum, as published in the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline (https://k10outline.scsa.wa.edu.au/ opens in new window), is the mandated curriculum for Western Australia.
