Webinar: Building Confidence with CLIL – Empowering Student Engagement and Meaningful Target Language Use
Join this FREE webinar to:
- explore how Content Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) informed approaches support meaningful learning through the target language in real classroom contexts, with attention to both student learning and classroom practice
- understand the relationship between content, language, and cognition and how students use the target language to think, interact, and make sense of ideas in authentic learning environments
- consider how these approaches can be introduced in practical and manageable ways, including strategies to scaffold comprehension and support language output
- identify how student engagement emerges naturally in the language classroom as a result of this learning design
Classroom examples from Chinese language settings will illustrate how students can use the target language purposefully and effectively, even at early stages of learning.
Participants will be provided with resources that enable classroom application.
