Call for Languages teachers — participate in research on the use of AI in Languages education

Generative AI is reshaping language teaching worldwide, but there is a wide disparity in access to AI tools and high-quality output for many languages beyond English. This research aims to understand how Languages teachers across Australian states and territories are using, adapting to, and responding to Generative AI — and to reveal disparities in access, uptake and what support teachers need.

We are inviting Languages teachers across Australia (all school levels and all languages, including low‑resourced and community languages) to complete a short research survey that will inform professional development, AI literacy, and equitable approaches to AI integration in language education. You can also opt in for a follow up interview if you are interested, with a small gift card provided to support your coffee or classroom needs!
